JEC Grampian Region - 2026 Charity Presentation
From Jim Mann
Many thanks to those of you who managed to come along to our Annual Gathering at Drum Castle on the 26th of July. We managed to raise a tidy £1,000 for our charity, COTAG 4 x 4 Response. Our Treasurer has already made a bank transfer to the COTAG account, and they have been extremely grateful for our support in 2026, which will allow them to carry on their excellent work supporting the community in the Northeast.
We are trying to find a suitable photo opportunity to gather a number of our Jaguars alongside the 4 x 4 and Trucks of the COTAG Team, where we can get some good photos of a presentation of the funds for our magazine report. The most suitable photo opportunity will be at the Bennachie Visitor Centre Car Park on Sunday the 27th of September at 09:00. A link to the Visitor Centre is at the foot of the email along with local directions. The early timing is so we can get the photos before the trucks head off-road on their mission for the day – making a recce ahead of the upcoming Bennachie Hill Race in October, and therefore end up very dirty! Ideally, we would like a good showing of our cars to enhance the photo and with that in mind, especially given the early hour proposed for the photo, we would carry on afterwards to Anderson’s of Inverurie, the furniture store, for a Coffee and Cars get together from just after 10:00.
If you can make it along to the Visitor Centre, please email me at to let me know we will have a decent turnout. If you are only planning to attend the Coffee and Cars, then no requirement to let me know about that as it is a simple turn up and enjoy type outing. If anyone needs directions for Anderson’s of Inverurie, please check out the link here: <
