Jaguar Enthusiasts Club XK Anniversary Celebration run 2026
To mark the joint anniversary of the XK8 (X100) and the XK (X150) we are holding a meet up and drive through the glorious Cotswolds from the Bibury Classic Motor Hub near Cirencester (
) to the British Motor Museum at Gaydon ( ).The Classic Motor Hub has displays of exceptional classic cars from all eras, as well as an excellent café. After browsing and sampling their breakfasts we will offer three routes to Gaydon to choose from, ranging from fairly direct taking about an hour to a more meandering route allowing stopping at various Cotswold villages which can take as long as you like!
When you arrive at Gaydon we will have a dedicated parking area for the XK cars, and we hope to be able to offer some guided tours of the Jaguar collection, and in particular to see XKs in the collection. The Museum Café is open all day for lunch and afternoon tea, with reduced rate entry fee to the museum of £14. (Unless you have an annual pass)
The event is supported by the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust (JDHT) who will be bringing two special XKs from their collection to display at Bibury and are then joining the run. We have requested the very first production XK8, the Geneva Show Car, and the very last XK produced, an XKR Signature Coupe.
The event starts at 9.30am on Saturday 17th October 2026 at The Classic Motor Hub, Old Walls, Ablington, Bibury GL7 5FF where the cafe, shop and showrooms will be open from 9.30am. You are free to depart for the run to Gaydon at a time to suit.
The cost to enter is £6. All entrants will be entered into a raffle to win the chance to “Adopt a car” at the Heritage Collection. The club will also be producing an anniversary windscreen sticker for you to collect on the day to mark your attendance.
