JEC France SW France/ Aquataine - Calendar of Events

JECSOF/A - CALENDAR OF EVENTS 2026

Saturday 25th April and Sunday 26th April

The AGM will be held in the Hotel Francois 1er in Cognac at 2.30pm on

Saturday 25th April, followed by a dinner at the Hotel Héritage in the centre of

Cognac, with an overnight stay in the Hotel François 1er if you so wish. We

very much hope that many of you will stay on for the Sunday rally described

below.

On Sunday 26th April, we shall be joining a rally organised by the Rotary Club

of Cognac to raise money for the eradication of Polio and Leprosy around the

world. The day will include breakfast and registration at Maison Martell, a

morning rally of about two hours and then a display of classic Delage and

Delahaye cars to mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of Louis Delage,

along with many other classic cars. A slap-up lunch will be taken in the former

shop situated in the courtyard at Maison Martell. A guided tour and tasting is

available to those who book. All participants must pre-register.

Monday 4th to Saturday 9th May

A trip based around the four valleys of the LOT, the OUYSSE, the CÉLÉ and

the DORDOGNE, including such gems as MARTEL, BEAULIEU-SUR-

DORDOGNE, ST-CIRQUE-LAPOPIE, ROCAMADOUR, FIGEAC and many

pretty little villages and interesting visits. Foie gras and truffles may also be

involved! We hope to be able to arrange a trip on the picturesque steam train

at Martel.

Monday 1st and Tuesday 2nd June

An introduction to regularity rallies organised by Pete and Clem Upton, who

have much experience in this area of rallying. There will be an evening

briefing and dinner on the first evening, followed by a simple regularity rally in

two parts on the following morning, with a coffee-stop mid-morning and

followed by lunch. A night will be spent in a hotel in Périgueux, from where

the rally will start. This is NOT a competitive event, it is just a bit of fun and an

introduction to timed rallies.

Sunday July 19th

We are joining up with the Interesting Car and Bike Club (ICBC) for a visit to

the Château de Hautefort and a lunch together, including a display of our cars

in the château grounds. This is a chance to meet new friends and see some

different cars.

Sunday 30th August

Our annual charity barbecue is to be held in the commune of Bellevigne

(16120) at the home of Julian Packman and his partner Régine.

Friday 4th September

A visit to the Château de Varaignes and the museum of weaving and a lunch

in a local restaurant.

Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September

The annual Circuit des Remparts weekend in Angoulême. The Club will be

participating in the rallye touristique on Saturday 19th and will organise a

Club lunch in Angoulême on Sunday 20th. Please note: If you want stand

tickets for the racing on Sunday 20th you MUST buy them directly from the

Circuit des Remparts website, which opened on 14th December 2025.

Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th September

The annual Classic Festival at the Circuit de Nogaro is held on this weekend.

If there is sufficient interest from members, we shall organise a Club trip with

suggested hotel accommodation and information on how to enter the rally

and generally enjoy yourselves.

Agreed values

We have a number of highly-qualified experts who can inspect your vehicle prior to purchase and provide you with a full written report. In addition to their complete understanding of the mechanical and aesthetic aspects of vehicle inspection, they have extensive experience with the Jaguar marque which perfectly equips them to identify the unique requirements of specific models and years, something that is particularly important for older cars.

The cost of an inspection begins at £100, with the final figure determined by the time needed and the distance the inspector is required to travel. We can guarantee that your inspection will be cheaper than an equivalent AA or RAC inspection.

This small upfront outlay could save you thousands in the long term.

To arrange an inspection simply call JEC Head Office on 0117 969 8186 and they will provide you with details of your nearest inspector.

Also from our club HQ in Bristol we can give you an official valuation for insurance purposes. Our valuations are accepted by all leading insurance brokers and Companies.

GETTING STARTED

Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club Insurance is designed specifically for members of the JEC. That’s why it covers JEC TrackSport events and offers cover for JEC Young Enthusiasts. Furthermore, the scheme recognises that members may have a combination of newer and more historic Jaguars and so the scheme caters for all, other individually or part of a multi-vehicle offering.

Club insurance doesn’t operate the way standard insurance does. While it does still take a vehicle’s mechanical characteristics into account, it also places a lot of emphasis on how the vehicle is used, cared for and maintained.

Club insurance also offers a host of benefits and products that you simply cannot get outside of membership of the JEC, such as member to member cover for example. This enables you to drive your friends Jaguars at regional meets, events and on tours with fully comprehensive cover and without the need to complete more paperwork or ring up and incur costs for adding named drivers.

This way, you’ll be comfortable knowing that you have a policy that fits your vehicle and your usage needs perfectly.
