Scottish Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Day
The third running of Scottish Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Day will be held, once again, at the Riverside Museum in Glasgow, on Saturday the 6th of June 2026, which is a little earlier in the month than the previous iterations. There is an open invitation to all Jaguar owners / drivers across Scotland to get along on the day and show off your Pride and Joy on the Esplanade of this iconic Museum. If you want to register to exhibit your car, Registration for the Gathering is now “OPEN” and to submit your details for registration, please send an email to Jim Mann, at scotland.ambassador@jecregions.org.uk but please be aware that places are strictly limited. If your request is successful, additional details and the event parking pass will be sent out to those who have registered in due course.
If you want to come along as a spectator and wander through the gleaming Jaguars on display and chat to some of the Owners, the cars will be parked by 10:00 in readiness for the opening of the Museum. Of course there is ample public car parking available at the adjacent car park, just across the road from the Museum itself.
For those of you who have not visited the Riverside Museum, it is a fantastic building with a stunning collection of Scotland’s transport history, plus it has a permanently moored Tall Ship, The Glenlee on the River Clyde, immediately adjacent to the Riverside – actually on the quayside of the museum. Entrance to the Riverside Museum is free, although entry to The Glenlee now incurs a small charge. Accordingly, there is lots to see and do and it should not cost the earth for a family day out. Plus, there is a restaurant and café onsite as well. There is also now a new pedestrian bridge adjacent to the Museum, which allows access to those attractions on the south side of the River Clyde.
If you are exhibiting your car and your partner may wish to experience the retail therapy that Glasgow can offer during the day, there is a regular bus service from the front of the museum to the heart of the city and return, including the open topped sightseeing option.
Overall, we are hoping to repeat the success of 2024 and 2025 and have over 100 gleaming Jaguars displayed on the Museum’s forecourt.
Speaking of cars, 2026 is an important year for some of the Jaguar models we love, and we plan to celebrate the following anniversaries:
· Thirty years since the launch of the X-100, the XK8 / XKR Sports Car range
· Twenty years since the launch of the X-150, the NEW XK / XKR Sports Car range
· Forty years since the launch of the XJ40 range
· Sixty-five years since the launch of the E-type
There will be a charge of £10 per car, all of which will go to raise money for our chosen charity, which is Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA), who were also chosen to benefit from the 2025 event and nearly £2,000 was raised for this great cause.
