Jaguar Enthusiast Magazine editor Wayne Scott has been named Classic Car Club Hero at the National Car Club Awards, held during this year’s NEC Restoration Show.
The award, one of the standout honours of the show, recognises individuals who make an exceptional contribution to their club and its community. Decided entirely by public vote, Wayne’s victory was secured by the strength of support from Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club (JEC) members and readers of Classic Car Weekly.
His success reflects the transformation in how the Club now shares its passion for Jaguar. Through Jaguar Enthusiast Magazine, alongside the Club’s podcast, Friday Spotlight, event commentary, interviews and behind-the-scenes storytelling, Wayne and his team have expanded the JEC’s reach and strengthened its connection with members around the world. The award recognises not just the quality of that output, but the consistency and enthusiasm behind it.
It also underlines the role of the wider team in bringing those stories to life, and the engagement of a community that continues to support and grow the club’s voice.
Following the announcement, JEC General Manager James Blackwell said:
“We all enjoy the Magazine, videos, podcasts and stories that keep our shared passion for Jaguar alive, and this award is a reflection of the work Wayne and his team put into that every day.
This recognition is thoroughly deserved. Over the past few years, Wayne has helped transform how we share our passion for Jaguar, ensuring the Club’s voice reaches members around the world through everything we produce.
Just as importantly, this result shows the strength of our community. The support from our members and readers of Classic Car Weekly made the difference, and it’s something everyone involved can be proud of.”
Reacting to the award, Wayne Scott added:
“This really does mean a great deal, not just to me but to everyone involved in what we do. The fact that it’s been voted for by our members and by readers of Classic Car Weekly makes it particularly special.
I’m very fortunate to work with a brilliant team. Huge thanks go to Ray Ingman and Mike Manconi on the production side, Carol Abott, who edits our Regional pages and all the model section coordinators. Also to the ad sales team at Tandem Media, and to all of our regular contributors who give the Magazine its depth and character. It’s a genuine team effort, and this recognition belongs to all of them as much as it does to me.
Most of all, thank you to everyone who took the time to vote — it means a great deal to have that support from the community we’re here to serve.”
A Club Hero decided by the people it represents, this is not just a personal accolade for Wayne Scott, but a clear endorsement of the direction and energy behind the Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club today.

Really pleased to hear this. The magazine is first class, and the weekly emails much appreciated. Well deserved!
Entirely deserved. Obviously a professional motoring journalist, with remarkable energy and knowledge.
It is great that the club magazine is being recognised publicly it is a shame for the club members that the club did not turn up to the NEC since this is the biggest classic car club event of the season as demonstrated by the number of clubs in attendance.
Well deserved Wayne, you do a fabulous job for the JEC but also for the wider Classic car community.
