Summer Jaguar Festival moves to Bicester Heritage on Sunday 4th July 2021

Following the announcement of the UK Government’s roadmap for easing COVID-19 restrictions in England on 22nd February 2021 and after extensive discussions between the event’s organisers, partners and venues, the Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club has taken the difficult decision to re-schedule the Summer Jaguar Festival.

The Summer Jaguar Festival was planned to take place over the weekend of 14-16th May 2021 at Heythrop Park Hotel and Blenheim Palace, but it has been made clear that, although the Government’s road map gives us optimism for events to take place later this Summer, the intended dates and venues were no longer feasible.

Therefore, The Summer Jaguar Festival will now take place as a one-day event within the atmospheric surroundings of Bicester Heritage on 4thJuly 2021 and will celebrate 60 years of the iconic E-type, plus the anniversaries of the Mark 10, X-Type, XK8 and X150 as well as Jaguar’s first victory at Le Mans.
The event will include all the fantastic attractions we were all previously looking forward to, including the Bicester Heritage Track Experience. Features will include displays of special E-types, class of ’61 car display, a sixties fashion show and an interview with Jaguar fan and presenter of Channel 4’s Grand Designs, Kevin McCloud MBE. Tickets will go on sale in April.

Refunds

As a result of the date change and after consultation with Heythrop Park hotel, we have had to cancel all hotel packages and associated activities. So, all those who booked weekend packages for the previous dates and venue will receive a full refund. The change in venue for the Summer Jaguar Festival show day also means that all those who booked to attend Blenheim Palace, will also receive a full refund on their day tickets.

IMPORTANT: The Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club asks specifically that, in the first instance, those booked to stay at Heythrop Park Hotel do not contact the club nor the venue regarding their weekend hotel package booking. We will be issuing refunds to all those that have booked both hotel packages and day tickets as soon as possible. We ask for your patience as we work through those transactions.

Bicester Track Experience Bookings

The previously announced Bicester Track experience will now be an exciting feature of the day at Bicester Heritage on Sunday 4th July. We intend to run the same format and spectacular line – up of cars for you to enjoy. If you have booked a Bicester Track experience already, your booking is automatically transferred to the new date. If you’re unable to attend then a full refund will be issued. All those who booked for this amazing opportunity will shortly be contacted to confirm your attendance.

Like many organisations, the club’s offices in Bristol are currently closed to visitors and much of the team are working remotely, so please be patient if calling the office or enquiring via email as the team are having to cope with a high volume of correspondence as a result of the present situation. As such, please use the following email address as a contact point for any queries relating to the Summer Jaguar Festival: sjf@jec.org.uk

Future updates on the new date and venue will be published via www.jec.org.uk/festival

A further announcement on arrangements for the draw of the raffle car raising funds for the Haemophilia Society will be published in due course.

Entries for Concours D’Elegance and Pride of Ownership for the new date and venue will open alongside day ticket sales for the new date and venue in April 2021.

The Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club wishes to thank all attendees for their patience and understanding regarding the rescheduling of this event.

Agreed values

We have a number of highly-qualified experts who can inspect your vehicle prior to purchase and provide you with a full written report. In addition to their complete understanding of the mechanical and aesthetic aspects of vehicle inspection, they have extensive experience with the Jaguar marque which perfectly equips them to identify the unique requirements of specific models and years, something that is particularly important for older cars.

The cost of an inspection begins at £100, with the final figure determined by the time needed and the distance the inspector is required to travel. We can guarantee that your inspection will be cheaper than an equivalent AA or RAC inspection.

This small upfront outlay could save you thousands in the long term.

To arrange an inspection simply call JEC Head Office on 0117 969 8186 and they will provide you with details of your nearest inspector.

Also from our club HQ in Bristol we can give you an official valuation for insurance purposes. Our valuations are accepted by all leading insurance brokers and Companies.

GETTING STARTED

Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club Insurance is designed specifically for members of the JEC. That’s why it covers JEC TrackSport events and offers cover for JEC Young Enthusiasts. Furthermore, the scheme recognises that members may have a combination of newer and more historic Jaguars and so the scheme caters for all, other individually or part of a multi-vehicle offering.

Club insurance doesn’t operate the way standard insurance does. While it does still take a vehicle’s mechanical characteristics into account, it also places a lot of emphasis on how the vehicle is used, cared for and maintained.

Club insurance also offers a host of benefits and products that you simply cannot get outside of membership of the JEC, such as member to member cover for example. This enables you to drive your friends Jaguars at regional meets, events and on tours with fully comprehensive cover and without the need to complete more paperwork or ring up and incur costs for adding named drivers.

This way, you’ll be comfortable knowing that you have a policy that fits your vehicle and your usage needs perfectly.
