The second Coffee and Cars event of the year on April 12th, at the award-winning Great British Car Journey, a new museum located in Ambergate, Derbyshire, will be the location for our first ‘XJ40 at 40’ gathering.
There are a number of spaces reserved for XJ40s, and we would love to have as many cars there as possible.
The event will also be the season opener for the venue, with the theme of ‘Great British Cars’ celebrating anything made in Britain, with the preference being anything more than 20 years old (though anything newer than this will still be permitted), so our model fits the bill perfectly. This isn’t just for brands that were British at the time, such as Jaguar, Vauxhall, Rover or Ford, but includes names like Toyota, Nissan and Honda, that used Britain for manufacturing their models.
We will also have support with a display of cars from the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust.
It is advisable to buy your tickets in advance; please visit The Great British Car Journey website to purchase them and select the option for APRIL 12TH called GBC Shows Celebrates: Great British Cars. The ticket price will give you entry to the museum as well as 3 £5 vouchers to redeem against the café, merchandise, and driving experiences.
The museum at this award-winning venue features over 130 vehicles from British manufacturers dating back to 1921, and guides you through the decades, celebrating familiar and favourite cars, British entrepreneurs and engineers.
If all XJ40 attendees could arrive at 09:30, we can ensure that the allotted space is filled as quickly as possible.
