Support the next generation with the StarterMotor Festival

A cross-club fundraising event at Bicester Motion which the Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club supports

StarterMotor Charity has announced the inaugural StarterMotor Festival, a new cross-club fundraising event taking place at Bicester Motion, Oxfordshire, on Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd May 2026.

Created to bring together classic and historic car clubs in support of StarterMotor’s charitable work, this two-day festival will combine driving experiences, friendly competition and rare access to one of the UK’s most significant automotive venues.

Friday 1st May – Demonstration Track Experience

Friday afternoon offers participants the opportunity to take to the Demonstration Track in their own car. This is a chance to experience circuit driving in a controlled, low-pressure and supportive environment.

Alongside track sessions, attendees will enjoy access to activities across Bicester Motion’s historic site. While the full programme is still being finalised, plans include:

  • Guided tours of the site
  • Opportunities to meet on-site automotive specialists
  • Expert-led workshops and discussions

The day is designed to be engaging and enjoyable for both drivers and visitors.

Saturday 2nd May – AutoSolo Competition

Saturday shifts the focus to friendly competition, with a specially designed AutoSolo event held on the track.

Invited clubs and their members will test their precision and car control across a series of accessible and enjoyable courses. With plenty of space to relax, bring a picnic and enjoy the unique surroundings of Bicester Motion, Saturday offers a relaxed but competitive close to the festival.

Please note that AutoSolo entries are limited to 50 cars, so early registration is recommended.

Entry and Booking Information

Capacity for Friday’s track session is relatively open, but AutoSolo places are strictly limited.

To register your interest for either or both days, email info@startermotor.co. This will help organisers gauge numbers ahead of formal confirmation.

Spaces will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants must attend as members of their respective invited car clubs and agree to Bicester Motion’s Demonstration Track terms and conditions, available via the Bicester Motion website.

Event Costs

(All proceeds support StarterMotor Charity)

  • Track Entry – Friday 1st May: £50
  • AutoSolo Entry – Saturday 2nd May: £50
  • Spectator Donation: £10

The StarterMotor Festival promises two days of driving, camaraderie and community spirit, all in support of a worthwhile cause.

Agreed values

We have a number of highly-qualified experts who can inspect your vehicle prior to purchase and provide you with a full written report. In addition to their complete understanding of the mechanical and aesthetic aspects of vehicle inspection, they have extensive experience with the Jaguar marque which perfectly equips them to identify the unique requirements of specific models and years, something that is particularly important for older cars.

The cost of an inspection begins at £100, with the final figure determined by the time needed and the distance the inspector is required to travel. We can guarantee that your inspection will be cheaper than an equivalent AA or RAC inspection.

This small upfront outlay could save you thousands in the long term.

To arrange an inspection simply call JEC Head Office on 0117 969 8186 and they will provide you with details of your nearest inspector.

Also from our club HQ in Bristol we can give you an official valuation for insurance purposes. Our valuations are accepted by all leading insurance brokers and Companies.

GETTING STARTED

Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club Insurance is designed specifically for members of the JEC. That’s why it covers JEC TrackSport events and offers cover for JEC Young Enthusiasts. Furthermore, the scheme recognises that members may have a combination of newer and more historic Jaguars and so the scheme caters for all, other individually or part of a multi-vehicle offering.

Club insurance doesn’t operate the way standard insurance does. While it does still take a vehicle’s mechanical characteristics into account, it also places a lot of emphasis on how the vehicle is used, cared for and maintained.

Club insurance also offers a host of benefits and products that you simply cannot get outside of membership of the JEC, such as member to member cover for example. This enables you to drive your friends Jaguars at regional meets, events and on tours with fully comprehensive cover and without the need to complete more paperwork or ring up and incur costs for adding named drivers.

This way, you’ll be comfortable knowing that you have a policy that fits your vehicle and your usage needs perfectly.
