A podium, a breakthrough victory and a place in the record books — Jaguar TCS Racing leaves Jeddah as the most successful team in Formula E history.
Jaguar TCS Racing delivered a defining double‑header performance in Jeddah, securing a podium and double top‑five finish in Round 4 before António Félix da Costa claimed victory in Round 5 — a win that confirmed Jaguar as the most successful team in Formula E history.
ROUND 4
Round 4 showcased the team’s depth and consistency. Mitch Evans drove a composed and tactical race to finish third, while da Costa secured fifth place, giving Jaguar a valuable double top‑five result.
After starting P10 and P6 respectively, both drivers navigated a chaotic opening phase that included a delayed start, a three-wide Turn 1 shuffle, and an early Full Course Yellow that was later upgraded to a Safety Car.
Once racing resumed, da Costa immediately went on the attack, climbing into the top eight, while Evans focused on energy conservation to position himself strongly for the second half of the race. As the field remained tightly bunched, both Jaguar TCS Racing drivers executed a perfectly timed strategy: da Costa took an early PIT BOOST and ATTACK MODE to climb back through the pack, while Evans stayed out longer, cycling into the lead before making his own clean stop.
Da Costa surged into the podium positions with a series of decisive overtakes, while Evans rejoined in the top ten and quickly climbed through the pack. In the closing stages, both drivers fought at the front, with Evans moving into the top three and da Costa supporting the team’s strategy by allowing Mitch to maximise his ATTACK MODE advantage.
After a final exchange of positions in the lead group, Evans crossed the line in third place, with da Costa securing P5.
ROUND 5
Starting from third on the grid, da Costa immediately established himself in the lead fight, engaging in clean, hard racing with the front group as he carefully managed energy. By mid‑race, his pace and efficiency put him in a powerful position, and a perfectly timed ATTACK MODE deployment allowed him to seize the lead and build a decisive gap.
Da Costa controlled the closing stages, extending his lead to more than three seconds and taking a brilliant victory ‑ his first with Jaguar TCS Racing and the 13th win of his Formula E career. The result also marked a Jaguar powertrain 1–2 finish, with Sébastien Buemi finishing second for Jaguar customer team Envision Racing.
Starting from P13, Mitch Evans delivered an impressive climb through the field. His first ATTACK MODE was used to great effect, propelling him into the top eight within a single lap. Smart energy management and well‑judged overtakes kept him firmly in the points, and a late second ATTACK MODE push helped him secure P7 at the flag.
The win completes a two‑podium weekend for Jaguar TCS Racing, following Evans’ P3 on Friday, and marks the team’s second victory in the last three races. It also makes Jaguar the most successful team in Formula E history with 24 race wins since joining the all‑electric championship 10 years ago.

A moment in history
Evans reflected: “I’m really happy to be back on the podium. It was chaotic at times, but we kept our heads down, managed the energy well and made the right calls when it counted.”
Da Costa added: “We had strong pace and once we found our rhythm, I was able to fight at the front and make important moves. The strategy was executed perfectly and I’m proud of how we worked together.”

Team Principal Ian James praised the team’s execution: “Today was defined by smart calls, clean execution and teamwork. To come away with a double top‑five and another podium demonstrates the consistency we’re building.”
“What a day! The car was fantastic, the strategy perfect, and once I found my rhythm, I knew we had the pace to fight for the win,” said da Costa. “Securing my first victory with Jaguar TCS Racing — and helping the team become the most successful in Formula E history — is something I’m really proud of.”

With this victory — Jaguar’s 24th in Formula E — the team moved ahead of all rivals in the all‑time wins table. The result strengthened Jaguar’s position in both the Drivers’ and Teams’ World Championship standings, reinforcing its credentials as a title contender.
Ian James summed up the milestone: “This is a hugely significant moment for Jaguar TCS Racing. António drove with precision and confidence, Mitch delivered strong points, and the entire team executed at an exceptional level. To become the most successful team in Formula E history is something everyone can be incredibly proud of.”
The team now heads to Spain for the inaugural Madrid E‑Prix, and da Costa’s 150th race in Formula E, as the team continues to build strong championship momentum.
