Itinerary

DAY 1

Join the tour at Folkestone for a crossing to arrive mid-morning in Calais. Take the direct route via Lille to a fascinating car collection near to Mons, where we have organised a light lunch. There is time to view the collection before driving on in to the heart of Wallonia.

Our four star hotel, complete with underground car park, is our base for the duration of this tour. Located in the middle of Marche en Famenne, a small town, with paved roads, the perfect base for exploring the surrounding area.

The four star Quartier Latin hotel has underground parking, a spa and restaurant all within the walls of a listed 18thcentury Jesuit church. This evening we have a welcome drink, briefing and dinner at the hotel.

DAY 2

Today is a short drive to Dinant after breakfast. Parking at the Citadelle, with time for coffee and a visit. Afterwards take the funicular down into Dinant, where you have time to explore and have lunch. We regroup for a 45 minute boat trip on the Meuse towards Anseremme. You have time to visit the Leffe museum, also located in Dinant or return to the hotel to relax before dinner.

DAY 3

Today we head North East to Spa-Francorchamps where we are privileged to be given a special behind the scenes tour of the race circuit, where you’ll gain access to race control, the podium and parade laps of the track in your car. From here there is an optional visit to the car collection in the Stavelot Abbaye.

DAY 4

The drive today takes you down to the border with France, for a fascinating visit to a bunker secretly used by Hitler. The area is well preserved and documents the period occupation there. It is then a short drive to Chimay, the largest producer of Trappist beer in Belgium, this is a great spot for lunch and visit their shop. There is an optional interactive Chimay beer experience here too. The route back to the hotel will take you on a lap of the Chimay road circuit.

DAY 5

After breakfast at the hotel, you can return to Calais for the Eurotunnel crossing of your choice.

One Response

  1. Bonjour
J’aimerais beaucoup venir voir les voitures… en xk140. J’habite à une 20aines de km de Chimay.
Puis-je savoir où et vers quelle heure elles seront visibles ? Merci.
    Bien amicalement.

Agreed values

We have a number of highly-qualified experts who can inspect your vehicle prior to purchase and provide you with a full written report. In addition to their complete understanding of the mechanical and aesthetic aspects of vehicle inspection, they have extensive experience with the Jaguar marque which perfectly equips them to identify the unique requirements of specific models and years, something that is particularly important for older cars.

The cost of an inspection begins at £100, with the final figure determined by the time needed and the distance the inspector is required to travel. We can guarantee that your inspection will be cheaper than an equivalent AA or RAC inspection.

This small upfront outlay could save you thousands in the long term.

To arrange an inspection simply call JEC Head Office on 0117 969 8186 and they will provide you with details of your nearest inspector.

Also from our club HQ in Bristol we can give you an official valuation for insurance purposes. Our valuations are accepted by all leading insurance brokers and Companies.

GETTING STARTED

Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club Insurance is designed specifically for members of the JEC. That’s why it covers JEC TrackSport events and offers cover for JEC Young Enthusiasts. Furthermore, the scheme recognises that members may have a combination of newer and more historic Jaguars and so the scheme caters for all, other individually or part of a multi-vehicle offering.

Club insurance doesn’t operate the way standard insurance does. While it does still take a vehicle’s mechanical characteristics into account, it also places a lot of emphasis on how the vehicle is used, cared for and maintained.

Club insurance also offers a host of benefits and products that you simply cannot get outside of membership of the JEC, such as member to member cover for example. This enables you to drive your friends Jaguars at regional meets, events and on tours with fully comprehensive cover and without the need to complete more paperwork or ring up and incur costs for adding named drivers.

This way, you’ll be comfortable knowing that you have a policy that fits your vehicle and your usage needs perfectly.
