JEC Events & Tours 2018

Each year we try to offer as many events and tours as possible to cater for all tastes and pockets.  We are helped each year by our travel partners Travel Destinations and Scenic Car Tours, plus a large band of volunteers and helpers at national and regional events.

Official Accompanied Tours

Organised by our long-term partners, Travel Destinations, and in conjunction with our own Simon and Ann Cronin, these tours are unique to our Club.  For 2018 the highlight must be their trip to the Le Mans Classic, which includes a tremendous package for members, including our own exclusive hotel. More than 120,000 spectators attended the event in 2016 with around 8,000 sports cars, making it the largest car club gathering in Europe.

The popular Irish Tour visits the coast of Northern Ireland, always a spectacular sight. To drive along the Causeway Coastal route is to experience one of the most dramatic roads in the world. This tour books out quickly each year, so don’t delay.

Love Italy?  Then why not join this JEC Italy Tour with the ultimate destination of Florence, the capital of Tuscany. The journey down will pass through the Champagne region of France and over the mountains to Switzerland and Lake Geneva. Bellissimo!

You can try the Wonders of Wales, which showcases the wonderful scenery including mountain ranges, lush valleys and ancient castles.

Fancy something further afield but with the comfort of driving on the left hand side of the road?  Then the Jersey Island Tour might be just the thing.  This beautiful island tour showcases Jersey’s sparkling seas, golden sands and picturesque harbours with lovely countryside all within easy reach.

If you are feeling more adventurous then try the Enchanting Black Forest Tour.  Based in the delightful town of Schonach, you are ideally placed to drive through some of the most spectacular scenery Germany has to offer. Alternatively, try the four day D-Day Landing Tour which visits Normandy’s dramatic coastline and the evocative World War II landing beaches.

National & Regional Club Events

Each year the JEC hosts and attends a range of national and regional events and 2018 is no different.

In July, we will be celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the poplar Jaguar XJ range, with a massive rally at Wroxall Abbey in Warwickshire.  The Jaguar Summer Festival will take place from 29 June to 1 July 2018 and members can book a package to stay at the Abbey and enjoy all the activities. There will be the usual display of cars, trade stands and arena shows, but alongside this we are delighted to announce that Strictly Come Dancing stars, Anton Du Beke and Erin Boag will be on hand all weekend, giving demonstrations and even the chance for some dance lessons.  So go on, get your dancing shoes on!

Agreed values

We have a number of highly-qualified experts who can inspect your vehicle prior to purchase and provide you with a full written report. In addition to their complete understanding of the mechanical and aesthetic aspects of vehicle inspection, they have extensive experience with the Jaguar marque which perfectly equips them to identify the unique requirements of specific models and years, something that is particularly important for older cars.

The cost of an inspection begins at £100, with the final figure determined by the time needed and the distance the inspector is required to travel. We can guarantee that your inspection will be cheaper than an equivalent AA or RAC inspection.

This small upfront outlay could save you thousands in the long term.

To arrange an inspection simply call JEC Head Office on 0117 969 8186 and they will provide you with details of your nearest inspector.

Also from our club HQ in Bristol we can give you an official valuation for insurance purposes. Our valuations are accepted by all leading insurance brokers and Companies.

GETTING STARTED

Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club Insurance is designed specifically for members of the JEC. That’s why it covers JEC TrackSport events and offers cover for JEC Young Enthusiasts. Furthermore, the scheme recognises that members may have a combination of newer and more historic Jaguars and so the scheme caters for all, other individually or part of a multi-vehicle offering.

Club insurance doesn’t operate the way standard insurance does. While it does still take a vehicle’s mechanical characteristics into account, it also places a lot of emphasis on how the vehicle is used, cared for and maintained.

Club insurance also offers a host of benefits and products that you simply cannot get outside of membership of the JEC, such as member to member cover for example. This enables you to drive your friends Jaguars at regional meets, events and on tours with fully comprehensive cover and without the need to complete more paperwork or ring up and incur costs for adding named drivers.

This way, you’ll be comfortable knowing that you have a policy that fits your vehicle and your usage needs perfectly.
