News from Staffordshire North Region

Car shows and events are still going strongly for our region with busy weekends for lots of members, helped mostly by the sunny weather, there are more shows to go yet! Our August raffle raised £39 towards the region funds. If you would like your car to feature in our region calendar for next year, please send me one (or at the most two) pictures, these need to be good quality (at least 1Mb) with a small amount of space around the car(s) to allow for “cropping” and if possible square or landscape orientation. Your photo needs to be submitted by the end of October so if there are more than twelve, we can vote on which to use at the November club night. Our Car of the month competition in August was won by David Benford’s 2006 XK8 V8 4.2s, a presentation of the framed certificate for winning was presented at the September club meeting along with the July award to Phil Cheetham for his XK8 which won in July. The photo shows our refurbished “Best car” trophy won by Andy Steele (right) at the Moorville Hall car show being presented by Mike Beirne (region organiser). Join us on the third Wednesday of every month at Moorville Hall hotel for an 8:00pm start.
