Braving the torrential rain over 30 of us arrived at the Calf Shed for bacon rolls and coffee,it was really great to have such a turnout but that's to be expected from our hardy Somerset members.
Following our breakfast we set off for our drive out through some of the most beautiful countryside of Somerset and Dorset heading for the New Inn Church Knowle (our thanks to Bob Flint from Dorset for recommending the pub)
The drive was made more interesting with the random storms and flooded roads, but we all managed to arrive at our destination thanks to Bridget's wonderful route instructions.
We filled the area the pub had set aside for us giving us plenty of time to chat before we sat down for are well deserved lunch.
After lunch when the rain stopped a number of us braved the further 3 mile drive to the coastal shore at Kimmeridege where we took a stroll along the shoreline clearing the cobwebbs .
