Essex and Suffolk Borders - June News

News from around the region

Just as we thought it was ' safe to come out' the rules get altered somewhat. So we have seen Weeting Steam Rally cancelled and our first monthly meeting shifting from July to August. At least we think it will be August, but this depends on the race of the Delta variant versus the vaccination programme.

As detailed in my newsletter, the August meeting should be a quick AGM - because not a lot happened, but we want to keep the records straight - followed by a talk from Emma from RH insurance. She will talk about driving abroad following Brexit (remember that?) and we will also have a cheque presentation to our charity.

The other shows we are attending as a club are detailed on the schedule, and if you wish to attend, do get in touch with the named member as soon as possible. We are finding we are being asked for numbers earlier than previous years and if we do not take up the space the organisers allocate it to another club. Perhaps people have purchased cars during lockdown with the foreign holiday money, but the car trade seems to be booming at the moment.

Committee meetings are still being held and we look forward to seeing you all soon..
