JEC Oxfordshire Outwits Storm Brian for Its Open Night at The Falcon near Banbury

It might have been blowing gale force winds, there might have been rain in torrents and lakes-full of standing water, but hardy members of the Oxfordshire Region enjoyed a pleasant evening at a favourite watering hole.

The Oxfordshire JEC Region remains committed to holding its meetings right around the Shire, and our meeting on 14th January was no exception. With a strong Jaguar community in the north of the Shire it was always going to be a pleasure to return to Banbury and The Falcon.

Storm Brian did try to stop us by doing its very worst and it was deeply foggy last time we came to The Falcon, but that did not put off some 14 members who met up and enjoyed a very convivial evening.

Good discussions were held about the voibles of modern JLR products, our attendance at the recent Bicester Heritage Scramble (and the interesting if odd electric XK140 and eye-catching Project 8 XE seen there), personal registrations and our forthcoming events programme.

Whilst our next meeting on the 22nd - when we will receive presentations by the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust and by JLR Classic is now all but full (with friends from the Warwickshire Region joining us) - there's a full programme ahead.

Our next Open Night is near Witney on Tuesday 11th February. Perhaps we will see you there ?
