JEC Oxfordshire Enjoys a Great Open Night at the Bird in Hand, Witney

JEC Oxfordshire's Open Nights Are On A Roll !

JEC Oxfordshire's Open Nights (always on the 2nd Tuesday of the month but with venues moving around the Shire) are proving to be ever more successful.

Some 25 members and family / friends attended the latest Open Night on Tuesday 9th July 2019 at the Bird in Hand, Hailey, near Witney,

Typical of the region, The Bird in Hand was originally constructed in the traditional manner in the 17th century. Today, the inn has been totally renovated, but is still rich in original charm and gorgeous period features, such as natural Cotswold stone and heavy wooden beams.

Having previously experienced its excellent service, mouth-watering food and a warm, friendly, relaxing atmosphere, the Inn is great place for an open night. The pub had kindly allocated us our own lounge with its own, dedicated, patio in which to relax in the summer sunshine. Better still, the food was to die for and the conversation and camaraderie sublime.

The large car park also gave us the opportunity to make a fine display of Jaguar cars of all sorts, to study them and take photographs both of the Jaguars and some other fine cars.

Many of us can't now wait for the next one - on Tuesday 13th August at the rRsing Sun on Witheridge Hill near Henley.
