Hello Essex Thameside members, welcome to our October newsletter.

The car show season is drawing to an end. We managed to attend a full calendar of shows and events during the spring and summer. The summer seems to have shot by and autumn is upon us. Fortunately we still experienced some hot days in the last month.

Our committee has started to commence scheduling our list of shows and events for next year’s season. We will in due course be arranging a Sunday lunch and other events before the end of the year.

During the last month we attended the Barnards Farm Open Day, 'Jaguars at the Castle' at Warwick Castle, and The Warren Classic & Supercar Show. All of these shows were well attended by our members, and it was great to see so many of you enjoying yourselves at the shows.

From Friday 8th to Sunday 10th November the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show will be taking place at Birmingham's NEC. The show will display over 3,000 classic & vintage cars and motorbikes across seven halls. Discount codes for show tickets are available from the JEC and various car magazines. I, along with some other members, have booked hotel rooms to make a weekend of the event.

We would like to remind those attending the Christmas Dinner Dance in November that if you have not yet paid, the balance payment is due now.

I look forward to seeing many of you at our next club night which will be on Tuesday 1st October at Langdon Hills Golf Club. We will be starting this evening earlier at 8pm, with a talk by Emma Airey from Hiscox Vehicle Insurance.
