Competing with & combating Covid-19, Bicester Heritage announced the 1st Scramble of 2021 was to be held in January. And the JEC Oxfordshire Region, and many from other regions, were set to be there in force to fly the club flag !

Sunday was fully booked so Saturday was added, but sold out even faster. But then Lockdown 3.0 occured....

So the event shifts to April for the Drive It Day weekend. BH is a Partner of the FBHVC so it will be a centre too for the sale and wearing on our classic cars of the event plaques being sold by the Federation in aide of its chosen Charity.

Hopefully we will see you there !?!

This Scramble’s format harks back to the early days of Bicester Heritage, with a smaller COVID-compliant attendance, with a curated display of historic cars

Whilst we all wrestle Covid-19 into submission - and get our vaccine jabs - Scramble has to change - although only temporarily. We understand the April Scramble - on Drive It Day 25th April - will be an extra special event and the JEC will be front and centre within it.

This Scramble’s format harks back to the early days of Bicester Heritage, with a smaller COVID-compliant attendance of just 2000 visitors (now on each of Sunday and Saturday, viewing a curated display of historic cars around the tree-lined avenues of the 1920s ‘Technical Site’.

Laid back, eclectic and with an ever-changing automotive display, the time-warp ex-RAF station has an unrivalled atmosphere of restored and occupied period buildings.

Different But Still The Opportunity To Gather as the JEC

Due to the reduced scale of the event, the limited capacity and Covid-security obligations, specific car club displays will not be taking place.

However, if members should opt to attend (and do so at their own risk as this is NOT a JEC arranged event) there's nothing to stop JEC members congregating together as a group at a key point. The size of Bicester Heritage means that there should be no difficulties in still remaining socially distanced.

Just let the JEC Oxfordshire Region Representative know and he can tell you where to be....
