2020 Driver Standings

The Championship launched in 2001, initially as a single series, as numbers grew, the Saloons & XJS’s split into separate championships. For the past ten years the Saloon & GT’s have been merged back onto one grid racing with the Classic Sports Car Club.

Drawing on inspiration when TWR successfully campaigned the Jaguar XJS in the 80’s in European & World Touring Car Championship the JEC Championship brings close, thrilling racing and a chance for all budgets to win our championship with equal points being awarded to class wins from Class A – Class D.

Class A is for standard cars with required safety equipment fitted; Class B standard modified cars; Class C Modified cars; Class D fully modified cars. Our championship is very inclusive, and our drivers are known for being friendly and helpful especially to newcomers and those less technically minded. Whilst being well populated by XJS GT’s and XJ Saloons the Championship caters as well for more modern saloon and GT cars such as the XK8, S Type and X Type.

The Championship is usually run over twelve rounds across six weekends of the season at some of the UK’s top circuits, including Silverstone, Brands Hatch and Donington Park. The sight of twenty plus Jaguars launching off the line is spine tingling and one of the most thrilling in club motorsport.
