Essex and Suffollk Borders - March News

All the news from the region

Our AGM was very well attended in February and the same committee re-elected for a further year. A presentation was made to Clive Gowers in recognition of the ten years he spent as treasurer; he has now stepped down from the role, but remains a committee member.

We have a good schedule of events planned for the year and we are having our own Drive It day on 7 April to the Ipswich Transport Museum, followed by a pub lunch, as many will be setting sail for the Isle of Wight at the end of the month.

Plans for our own show at Rickinghall on 5 May are going well. All we need is a good number of the invited car clubs to come up with their final attendance figures and lovely weather on the day!

If other regions would like to attend, perhaps visitors to East Anglia on holiday, we would be pleased to see you. If you wish to come as a group to display your cars please contact Bob Welton on 01255 473535. Alternatively, visitors cars are just £5 per car for the occupants and parking.

We have had quite a few new members recently and I sincerely hope you enjoy your involvement with the region. I think it is fair to say the more events and meetings you attend, the more you will get out of the club. The weather as I write this at the end of February is 18 degrees today, so let's hope this bodes well for a great summer with our cars.
