Castrol 0/20 5/20 edge professional

Postby M100TWO » Sat Nov 03, 2018 6:17 pm

For those who do there own maintenance this company supply's all Castrol oils, we need 0/20 or 5/20 Edge Professional for the 5ltrs at a good price compared to the Jag dealers
http://www.broughtonlubricants.co.uk
Tel. 03300555655
They will split packs if you only need eight ltrs for an oil change. They are a pleasure to deal with.

Hi
I’ve just this minute sent Mr.Castrol an email. After punching my car details into their website and although it comes up with all the correct info. it says ‘no suitable products found... contact your dealer’.
It’s little things like that, that annoy me!

Here’s the reply I got from Castrol technical this morning!

Morning Dave

The reason it says no suitable products is because the specific grade you need is not available in the retail range

The original recommendation was for a 5W-20 meeting the Ford WSS M2C925A/B, and this would have been Magnatec ProfessionalA1 5W-20 or EDGE Professional 5W-20.

These were however superseded by the Jaguar specification ST JLR 51.5122 0W-20 which was Castrol EDGE Professional E 0W-20, and this was latterly also replaced by the ST JLR 03.5006 Castrol EDGE Professional E-C5 0W-20 which is what I would suggest now

Unfortunately this is only available from Jaguar Land Rover dealers, there is no retail product that meets this specification.

Kind regards

Dave phone Broughton Lubricants they will fix you up with with the right 0/20 Castrol for Jaguar much cheaper than main dealers.

Cheers I most certainly will. Don’t like the ‘main stealers’ prices!
