Drivers seat movement

Postby petergl1800 » Wed May 09, 2018 11:10 am

I have a 2007 XKR, it has full memory seats and an electric steering column. What does not happen is when you take the key out etc. the seat does not go back automatically making it easier to get in and out!

How do I find out if this system is fitted and if so, how to make it work?

on my X350 of the same era there was a rotary switch on the steering column. Turning that to "Auto" engaged those functions. Guess the XK would be the same?

The auto function described by David is indeed operated by the switch on the side of the column. However, the auto entry/exit function only operates on the steering column, not the seats. If you move the seats back, you will need to press the appropriate memory button on re-entering the car. Mike.
