I hope this does not offend the purists, but I am thinking of purchasing a series 3, as a 2 is unlikely to come along.
But I prefer the exterior look of the chrome bumpers from a series 2, and wondered if I could change those square
plastic ones with chrome ones form this earlier model.
I would imaging the fixings would need modifying, and the indicator lights updating?, but Im hoping the swap would be relatively painless.
Has anyone attempted this, and if so, what were the results?

I've seen series 2 cars dressed to look like series 3 but never the reverse. It shouldn't be too difficult to do. Check out the appropriate sections of the parts lists for each model on the Jaguar Classic Parts website. That will tell you what parts you will need and you will probably be able to judge the difficulty involved too. Mike.
