Hi, I had a new Pioneer CD-Bluetooth-Dab etc, all singing and dancing fitted by a decent installer a year ago. Suddenly, it blew the fuse, then would blow that 15amp fuse regularly. So, I'm not sure if it's related but I started the car and drove off, radio had tripped again and I had no dash instruments at all. Everything was dead, clock/computer and all gauges speedo & rev counter... all dead ... I've had the radio out and insulated one dodgy looking connection correctly but it continues to trip that fuse. The dash hasn't died since that one time last week though. Anyone have any thoughts, please ?

Assuming the fuse blows when you switch the radio on or off, I would be tempted to begin by checking the electrical aerial. They have never been entirely reliable. Try disconnecting it at the radio end and if no fuse blows, put a meter across the motor and then the connecting wiring to check them out. Mike.
