Re: Heritage C Type new in Germany

Hello Johannes,

I can only agree with Neil, the JDC site has many "C" type owners and a couple of them race them. I suspect that they will have all the information you need. Good luck and enjoy your car.

Re: Proteus C Type

Oh dear, what a shame, it is probably the best example of a '50's sports /race car that money can buy. Perhaps he should try an X150 XK8 which are wonderful cars and one hell of a lot of car for the money.

Re: New site for SS100 owners

I also check this site Neil but, like you, I find the Facebook site so much better and 100% focused on the wonderful Suffolk SS100.

Re: Proetus C Type

Bruce, Obviously it depends on how much your friend has to spend but do tell him to look at the Suffolk Sports Cars site, IMHO they build the most authentic "C" types and I think my Aluminium car is still there. You would be hard pushed to find a better one.

Re: New site for SS100 owners

Would I be correct in thinking that we are now all going to the SS100 Builders and owners site? It would be a shame if this site died from lack of use.

Re: Salvage hunters classic cars

Not my area of expertise although I love XKS's and I still have an original launch brochure in the loft somewhere, but I like all the comments about the spate of "lets fix a classic for tele" programs. I have to say that I can't stand car S.O.S, I know they do help people live their dreams but there...

Re: Introduction

Well, what do you know, first on the Morgan forum now on here. Hello old chap, glad to see you here. I'm happy to read that you are still enjoying the "Yellow Peril". Although this site is very good, there is a JDC site ( JDC Specials and Replicas Forum ) which is more focused towards "C" Types, I w...

New site for SS100 owners

Chaps, I don't know if any of you have found it but there is a new site on Face Book dedicated to SS100 owners and builders. I don't wish to direct anyone away from this hard won site but the Face Book site seems to have taken off big time and is well worth a look and seeking permission to join. :D

AJP,
Andy, Thank you for the link. I am pretty hopeless in getting onto various sites but once on I do like to try and contribute.

Re: Yet another new owner

Hello Bodmino and welcome to the wonderful, and sometimes weird world of SS100's. I saw your car when I was last at the works looking at the build progress on my new SS100 which will be my second. I am going down on Tuesday to see the further progress and have a chat with Mike about a few things I w...

Re: Every Jag Replica Ever Made(We Think)

Andy, Thank you very much for posting this article. I must admit that I have never bought this mag. but I will go and get one tomorrow, it makes very interesting reading. I was aware of the various models that one could get based on a Jaguar but I didn't any idea that there were so many companies do...

Re: Christmas 2018

Steve m, I don't lay the car up for winter. As long as it is dry with no salt around, it gets a good run out. Does me good too!!
