Re: DPF EGR confusion

Good morning Regarding the egr valve I did blank the egr valve off on my 2.0 diesel for a period of 18 months or so. There was a very slight improvement in fuel economy and the egr valve stayed much cleaner than was previously the case. However, the engine management light would very occasionally be...

Re: Scrap transfer box.

Hi Everyone As I run a good 'ol diesel X Type I don't have the worry of transfer boxes and as such am not overly familiar with the casing, location etc but as this is such a common problem..... Is there a way of carefully 'engineering' a drain drain plug into the casing? I spoke to a chap earlier in...

Service Action K131 URGENT

Hi All Bob Bate has informed me via Nigel Thorley of this he found on the Jaguar Topix website. It relates to a FREE EGR valve change at Jaguar dealerships for 2.2 litre models that has been ongoing for about 12 months. Unfortunately the schedule for this FREEBEE finishes at the end of this month so...

Re: Restricted - Limp Mode

Hi Nick

I have heard of several people experiencing spurious faults and codes through the car battery being near to the end of it's life. Is this something you have looked at?

Hope you get to the bottom of your troubles.

Re: Front door puddle lights

Hi All

Thanks for your input. No I never bothered with the upgrade, it was only going to be done if it was a 'plug-in and go' option! Like BB said, too much work otherwise!

Car up for sale now too!

Thanks again, Steve

Re: been busy today........

Hi All

I have been using P7's for the past year and a half and have found them to be much quieter and longer lasting than the P6000 that were Original Equipment. Good price too I thought at £154.00 a pair.

Re: Key Fob.

Peter Silva has asked me to post the following on his behalf: I recently had a problem with the keys on my 2008 x-type diesel estate. I had to keep on programming my keys to the car and often had to open the door manually. I found out about the Keyrepair Company and sent them one of my keys to repai...
