Re: XK8 2003 4.2 Head lining

I have an 87 Daimler xj40 with sunroof and I've been quoted £850+ for a replacement head lining (supply and fit). seems a bit excessive.
what do you guys think ?

Re: exhaust manifold needed

I see plenty on eBay but they are not the correct part number for my car. a different part number may well fit especially 3.6 xjs etc but I don't want to buy them only to remove mine and then discover they don't fit. I have thought that if I cant get another manifold then I may get them welded up an...

manifold part numbers

I have a parts catalogue for 2.9 and 3.6 xj40's but i'm a bit confused by all the different part numbers for the exhaust manifolds. even more confused when I use different web sites only to find even more part numbers. what would be the correct part number for the manifolds for a Daimler 3.6 xj40 19...

i purely just tried switching it off then on again which worked twice but when I tried it again about a mile later then it didn't work at all.
I didn't touch the brakes just the switch and it didn't turn itself off

when for a warm up run today, tried the cruise control at about 70 mph and it worked. turned it on and off again at it still worked but didn't work again after that.
is there a minimum speed it should work out i.e 50/40 mph ?

cruise control

cruise control doesn't work in my '87' Daimler.
switch operates and red light comes on but no cruise control.
where do I start, I was thinking of looking/replacing the bellows in the throttle lineage area first.
any suggestions please
