Re: Aftermarket radiator xjs 3.6

if you connect this up you will kill your car,,,,,

the can on the aftermarket radiator doesn't have the separate compartment inside for the transmission cooler ,

the result will be to kill the engine and the transmission by mixing coolant with ATF

Re: Half shaft UJ covers

I never refitted mine when I put her back on the road, and no detrimental effects can be seen from not using them , then again , its not average mileage im doing either

your car, your choice in the end

rattling could be something completely different though , like a stone in the covers , lol

Re: Stoneleigh Spares day

I went twice and found it wasn't worth the effort ( and got the car very muddy ) , especially at the distance and entry cost for me

so I gave up ten years ago , I buy 75% of my parts online, and the rest direct from my nearest jaguar dealership

Re: Jaguar Sound Systems - Fitting a CD Changer

There are lots of old threads about fitting a CDC but I can't find a specific one about fitting one in a 2004 estate; specifically, where do you fit it? isn't there a load space drop down door , back left side trim , bracket goes in there, door closes over the top , wiring should be there, you may ...

Re: Jaguar Sound Systems - Fitting a CD Changer

Hi Rob, I've been in touch with XJK Jaguar who say:- "You have to configure the head unit so it knows the changer is in the system. This has to be done with the Jaguar SDD system under add and remove accessories." correct, when I changed my head unit , I had to get the jaguar SDD software to make t...

Re: Opening boot

did you try ' bouncing the boot lid ' while cycling the central locking, this can sometimes make a lock work if a sticking issue

never heard of a lock barrel break ? just gum up

hope it is the right solution

Re: Trim code AGF

Hi Paul I'm probably being thick, but what's the issue with displaying VINs, especially on a member forum? More interesting as the VIN for my car is prominently displayed in the windscreen on a black card, like many i assume. Just wondering. Richard agreed , ( but forum is open to non JEC members w...
