Re: I usually drive an XJR but now I`m going to be a Hurricane pilot!

Hi Mike, I am very sorry to hear of your trials and tribulations with the NHS. I have been there! On the one hand they do amazing and fantastic things but always seem to fall down on aftercare. Once the specialists have done their bit you are out of the door and the follow up care just does not seem...

I am guessing but have you tried pressing the Brake pedal while operating the hood?

Re: Morocco Red Celebration Convertible

Hi Al, You raise an interesting question that made me reread the Clubs privacy policy. I think the principle is covered in that the Club states that data it holds on members can be used to communicate with them and that data held on a member can be released to a third party with the members permissi...

Mike, I get the impression that what’s in the box is just the starting point for you!

Re: I usually drive an XJR but now I`m going to be a Hurricane pilot!

Hi Mike, Well done on passing the 30K mark. Is there any scope for using materials other than ply for the problematic load bearing parts? Carbon fibre for example or would this be ruled out because of weight/cost/difficulty in manufacturing, fitting, painting etc. There has been so much developed si...

Re: Interchangeability of Jaguar Alloys

Thanks Mike. You have lightened my darkness with the basics and given me some very useful pointers as to what works for sizing up to larger wheels (which is an option for me) and the no no’s for sizing down to smaller ones (which isn’t the way I’ll be going).

Interchangeability of Jaguar Alloys

Hi all, I’d like to get a second set of Alloys to fit winter tyres. Searching through the various web sites, eBay, Facebook marketplace etc. throws up a lot of possibilities but are full of throw away lines which imply wheels are interchangeable between various models XF & XE, XF & XType and even XF...

The cable tie must go down as one of mankind’s genius inventions. The uses they are put too are endless....some may even be used as cable ties!

Re: Dues anyone here run a shed?

Hi Mike, Bangernomics don't make sense to me either. No matter how much you are attached to your car there's a point when it reaches 'end of life' and it is time to move on. There are plenty more out there! I am surprised however that you have time to drink G&T with your friends given the aero model...

Re: Major Service - Using a non Jaguar garage

The eternal dilemma. I think you need to consider how long you intend to keep your car and how you plan to change it. If you might be exchanging through the same main dealer you may have a better chance of getting a higher trade in if the car has full Jaguar service history and the dealer has servic...

Hi Mike,
Reading your comments about model battery packs made me think that there will be interesting threads on problems with car battery packs on the website in the near future!
Or perhaps car battery packs will be a DIY no go area with (costly) swap outs being the only option.

I am also someone who ‘logs out’ after every session and am quite happy to be ‘logged out’ if I forget to do so. It is just good security procedure but I can understand how being ‘logged out’ can bug those who like to remain logged on permanently. I do agree with Paul that the ‘log off’ procedure sh...

Re: Touch screen clock

Sounds like a software glitch. I’d try a reset by disconnecting the battery for an hour then reconnecting. Not familiar with your model but you may have to reset radio etc....others may be able to advise specifics.
