Saturday Meet Up

Saturday we start at the Lakes Motor Museum at Newby Bridge at the south end of Lake Windermere, post code is LA12 8TA.

Arrival at the Museum at your leisure, but preferably no later than 15:00 – at which point we would probably plan to leave the museum in any event.  If you get there early enough; you can browse the museum and enjoy a snack, or lunch, in the excellent onsite café, plus the museum have offered us secure parking inside the gates so that we are a mini exhibit for the day.  Route books will be available to all those who confirm they are coming along to the meeting point on Saturday so that you can then enjoy a leisurely drive of around 40 miles, to the proposed hotel for the overnight halt.

Sunday Run Drive It Day

On Sunday we are meeting in the car park of the Premier Inn for anyone who wants to join us just for the Sunday outing.  There will be a leisurely start before we set off to drive some of the most scenic roads the UK has to offer.  Again, route books will be provided indicating not only the route but the points of interest along the way.  The mileage for Sunday is approximately 55 miles, but there will be occasions for scenic stops and photo opportunities along the way, enroute to our lunch destination, which is The Inn on the Lakes at Glenridding, where we will be expected and will have the use of the dining room overlooking the Lake and the car park, so something for everyone.  A typical Sunday Lunch menu will be available at around £20 - £23 per person, excluding drinks (two versus three courses)

Overnight Halt: On Saturday, Apr.21.18 we plan to stay overnight at the (New) Premier Inn at Cockermouth; attendees should reserve their own accommodation by visiting www.premierinn.com and reserving a room at the very attractive early rates, typically around £45 per night.  For those staying Saturday night at the Premier Inn, there will be an informal dinner at the next-door Brewers Fayre restaurant where you can relax and enjoy the camaraderie of your fellow Enthusiasts.
